Uncle Bob

Uncle Bob, you were a gentle, kind, loving husband and father. You were a peacemaker. I will forever be grateful to you for opening your home and caring for me like a daughter. You will be missed.

Tribute from one of your "Daughters"
image

Dear Daddy, as a young girl at Gardens School Victoria, I met your beautiful daughter Dolly. We were classmates and quickly became friends because Dolly loved me for who I was. You were very kind and welcoming. I cannot count the number of times you gave me a lift to school and back. You were the first Daddy who introduced me to Ice Cream when you took Dolly and I for ice cream one day. I will never forget that day. It is truly sad that for a long time, I never had the opportunity to see you again. Now that you are gone to be with your LORD and Savior and loved ones who have gone ahead, say hello to your lovely wife and to my parents as well. I will miss you Daddy and I will forever remember you.

Forget Me Not, Girls

When the world gets cold and the sky turns black

I hope our memories will come back to you

And bring you the warmth that we once used to share

When you wake up in the morning and take the first breathe

Remember when I use to do the same

Let this memory not sadden you nor make you lament

For I live within you always for as long as you’ll let me

My sweet girls, my love for you is eternal

But, if only it could have saved me, let this be my last memory

Let my love be a remedy that will liberate you

So you no longer feel pain and promise that

Before the world gets cold and the sky again turns black

You will never forget me

A Tribute to my God Father
image

Uncle Bob, am truly saddened that you left, though the LORD GOD has it all and knows it all. I remember you last told me during our last conversation at church during my Mom’s funeral “to be strong”. I saw you with your walking aid and prayed that God to please spare you some more time. Am glad He gave me just that. You have been everything to me; my Godfather at my baptism and my special uncle. I give Glory to God for your life. A life well spent. It is but natural that you now REST. We will miss you greatly but earnestly we find solace in the quality of life you lived. God has rewarded your efforts. Uncle Bob, as I fondly called you, your Legacy will be forever enshrined in our hearts. I mourn your passing but again give thanks to God for making me benefit from your guidance and blessing. Adieu as you rest in the bosom of our Maker. Reunite with the Heavenly Host more especially my Mama Elisa (my mom), Mola Toko (my Dad), and Aunty Epoupa (your wife). Be blessed, Uncle. I love you.

The Captain has fallen....
image

The Captain has fallen, who is going to captain the ship? Rest assured Daddy, your comrade of daughters are going to continue where you left. Daddy, I thank God for you. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time with you when you were in Dallas with Dolly and the family. That continued on when I visited Cameroon. That was my secret time with you. I did not have to announce my visit. Last visit with you was just a few months ago when I visited for ten days to have a service for my late brother Isaac Njeuma, and to bring my mom, your sister back to the US.

Though the visit was short that day, I wish I had visited again before I left. I will forever hold in my heart the conversations we had and the comforting words you gave mama and I concerning Isaac’s death. The time you took in December 2016 to come celebrate with Mama Rose Njeuma Hegngi’s 80th Birthday with us will forever be held close and dear to us. I will remember your soft-spoken words whenever I think of you. Daddy we loved you but God loved you more. Go in peace and enjoy the everlasting life your Heavenly Father has for you. Greet all that you meet. Thank you Daddy.

I Salute you Sir Robert Captain Lyonga

“Sir Robert Captain Mola Lyonga” as I reverence and lovely call him, even until his passing was a POWERHOUSE, a humble Patroit, very dynamic, sweet and a fine and noble person inside and out. He will be surly missed. Great people of his caliber are an inspiration to every one of us, his family. Even though he has passed on, he will inspire us and will live in our memories and thoughts.

I can’t help but smile on the inside when I think about the legacy he is leaving behind. He taught a lot of us, his family and his children what life meant.

Think about all the generations that have lived and will be blessed by the life he lived and passes on. He was a very dynamic hero, and as humbly known and reckon with. I like to think that the values and lessons that he taught us and his children, makes him immortal as they will influence lives over generations to come.

“Sir Robert Captain Mola Lyonga” was a wonderful person in his ways, personality, integrity and actions. The good Lord will go before you as you plan to travel for his Obsequies. I pray for travel mercies as you pay your last respect to him. Take heart, be strong, peace and God bless you Dear!

A Tribute to Mola R.C. Lyonga
image

Mola RC and his darling wife and daughter lived in my Dad’s house in Liengu Mboke long ago… That is when I got to know the Lyonga’s. But, it was after his service abroad when he and Sister Rachel retired to the same neighborhood that I got close to them. He was a kind hearted and caring gentleman, soft spoken and ready to chat and laugh with neighbors. Mola was a man of the people who participated in the happy and sad events touching the lives of those around him. He was an ardent supporter of his wife’s women’s meeting, the Social Ladies, which met in his compound weekly for several years. He attended all our parties, danced with the ladies and made them feel special.

He lived a full life and will be missed by those who knew him here in Liengu Mboke. May his gentle soul find rest in the bosom of the Lord. Adieu Mola RC! Wende gwamu! Yondo swelele!

Sango Lyonga...

Sango Lyonga had been a very sincere Treasurer in then Victoria when the office was near the Police Canteen. You worked as you trained as a financial worker of the British. Well it ends as the principle of the Holy Bible everyone has to die. May the LORD accept you into His Kingdom. Bye for now.

Dear Daddy...

Dear Daddy,
It is still a great shock to us that you are gone and no longer with us. When we go to the house now, we hope to see you there, sitting on your favorite chair. Now, it is empty. “Daddy”, the way we fondly called you, you have left a great vacuum in all our hearts and we know you have gone to rest. May the Almighty God grant you eternal rest in His Heavenly Kingdom and may light eternal shine upon you. Adieu Daddy.

Tribute to my "darling husband"
image

It is hard to say Goodbye though the Bible tells us about a time to live and a time to die. There are so many memories that all the books of the world cannot contain. You never forgot my birthday especially since we shared the same with your darling wife and my very good friend Epoupa. You always remembered to send flowers, wine, a card. I remember the joy on your face when we celebrated your last birthday. Your memory is all I have now. Fare thee well. Greet my mbanya for me.
